Technology is a crucial part of how society functions and becoming ever more critical by the day. It was selected as an available programmatic track because of its impact on change-making. Currently, the technology industry is not as diverse as it could be. More often than not, it does not support the development of young black youth or open its doors to extend opportunity to persons of color to the same extent it does for Caucasian populations. For this reason, many programs are being created specifically to nurture this lack of support and overall need. PTI seeks to continue filling that racial gap and provide a series of technology courses to help individuals gain knowledge and experience through virtual and hands-on education. Students will be offered the ability to build hardware or software solutions from beginning to end. PTI intends to foster a new wave of engineers ready to solve problems in their community and beyond – with the ability to meet the needs of an ever-changing world.
